I'd get the x pipe personally, It gets ride of the monstrosity (SP) that is the stock h pipe. and will sound alot better even with the stock mufflers. For an exhaust you'll really only need to have mufflers welded in to replace the stock ones. an aftermarket cat back wont produce much power over stock because the stock pipe is already 2.5" and the tips look good. I'd just get a muffler welded in and save some $$ :D

That's a toss, more gratification will likely result from the X. They'll really wake things up when installed together.

I have flowmasters 40 series welded on now. It seems like most are saying go with the catted x-pipe. Taxes come in friday so I am just trying to get some ideas from people who have done this.

I would get a mac pro-chamber. You dont lose torgue cause the design creates more back pressure then a h- or x- pipe without cats. Plus it is alot cheaper.

Before you decide, MEASURE..lol I have the SLP headers, x pipe and 'loudmouth' cat backs... The SLP headers are long tubes and if I'm not mistaken the x pipe is shortened because of that. So, if that's the case I would suggest the cat backs first. SLP is a GREAT choice!

The SLP exhaust is loud. I have a buddy who had the catback and X-pipe on his Mach.
