I am thinking about getting a hood lift system and a few chrome cap covers. I was wondering if you guys thought the chrome caps and radiator covers look kinda rice like. Thanks in advance. yes i know this does not make you go faster lol.

do it up...dressing up the engine bay is always cool, just make sure you do the whole thing and not just a couple pieces...as far as a prop system...get some redline tuning prop rods...easy to install and cheap...50 bux

that is what iw as lookin at. Where do i pick up the rivet gun and how much for one of those things? What is the install time on somethign like this? UPR has a kit for like 200 bucks you think it is worth that for the dress up kits? Seems kinda high for some shiney stuff when it could go toards my blower fund lol

rivet guns are like 15 bux from sears...and you need a drill bit...i forget which size. i took my time, measured twice, marked my drills, drilled a pilot hole and then drilled it with the needed bit. it helps guide the bit rather than having it jump around on you...but make sure you measure correctly. its easy, and should only take you half an hour.

as far as the dress up...its up to you if the kit is worth it. personally, i'd say just keep that motor looking clean and new. clean and simple is always nice to see at shows. some people go overboard on their dress up...others dont do it tastefully, and alot look like they arent finished or dont blend with the car's overall scheme.

but the hood lifters are a win...always nice for car shows n cruises

As far as chrome, I like the engine dressed up a bit. I have bought a few things from Steeda and MGW. I'm going to have the Upper Intake Plenum Powdercoated Chrome and the valve cover powdercoated deep blue chrome.

Right now I pulled the under hood fire cover and painted it black after cleaning it. There is an indent of the running ponie on it and I am hand painting it metalic silver with model paint.

I used Testors Model Paint, 1146 Silver Argent, in liquid (Not Spray) and a very fine model brush, and a great deal patience.

I am doing the same thing for shows. I just bought the polished radiator cover from upr and looks like it will be pretty nice. I also bought the radiator cap from MGW and let me tell you, a bit more expensive than upr but this thing is unbelievable. Its heavy duty with a great polish job on it. Too bad they don't have more engine goodies yet. Plus my polished supercharger really stands out ;)

Same for me. For Car shows, etc. Right now I have all Caps in Chrome, Radiator, oil, etc. Fuse box cover, egr valve cover, strut tower covers I engraved with ponies, CAI engraved, and all the hoses have blue loom kit covers.

Chrome looks really good at shows, just remember that you will have to clean each piece of chrome. Here's a pic of my engine dress up b4 some of the chrome goodies. http://www.mustangmods.com/data/14446/engine_compartment.jpg
