OK here we go.. I have been working with a few of the mods on this for a few days now.. im gonna make it "live" for everyone to toy with. This goes LIVE ON FEBRUARY 1st.

I have setup an ONLINE CAR SHOW.. known as the got stang? challenge.

The Categories are still to be determined.. I have set up a few test ones to see how it goes... The Year Classes will stay...

Rules:

** You may only nominate 1 car per category.
** A car can only be nominated for up to 3 categories.
** The top 3 will be chosen per category (gold, silver and bronze)
** Once all of the nominations are in the voting will start.


To nominate a car:

1. Go to the user's website.
2. Click the Nominate link next to the ranking button.
3. Click the NOMINATE link next to the category you wish to nominate the person's car for.

To view nominations, use the NOMINATIONS link on the Got Stang? home page.

Categories:

There are 6 main classes to classify Mustang generations, and sub-categories to identify specific styles. Below you will find explanations for what each category awards:

- Best got stang? Website: Awards the best web site based on content, information, and layout.

- Best Vert: Choose the sweetest-looking convertible Mustang and let them know they've done a kickass job of making their ride look good.

- Best Roush/Mach 1/Saleen/Cobra/V6: These narly beasts need recognition, and this category will award the one that stands out from the crowd (well, they all do, but you know what I mean).

- Best Replica: You've seen them...They make you look twice and go "That's a badass Cobra R!"... Then you learn it's based on a GT, but you still can't get your eyes off it... The best replica will be awarded here.


This feature will be updated daily if not hourly until February first when all the categories have been decided. I will then delete all of the 'test' nominees and we will get started.

Nominations will then be held for up to 2 weeks... if all of the nominations have not been submitted nominations will be closed and the voting will begin.

Your car falls into a V6 category and a vert category... thats really all you can ask for... Those are great ideas. however we dont have that many people on the site right now to allow that... unless you feel its necessary at this moment in time.

No, my name isn't even showing up in the list anymore. I was Nom #1 under Best Fox Body and now Nom #1 does not even appear in the list anymore... there is no car listed as Nom #1! #2-5 are still there though and it says 5 of 5 were nominated, but only four are showing up...

So that the nominations close automatically to finish a class. Like the nominations are still open on say the 99-04 GT class, on a particular date, whether all of the slots have been filled or not, the nominations close and voting on those that are there starts. Then the same idea for the votes. On a certian date or time, the votes close and places are given whether everyone has voted or not. that kind of thing.

In a situation like that I may just take the person with the highest ranking on the rankings page... I think that would settle it fairly. Ideas?

well the thing about the highest ranking on the rankings page is what if one member hasn't been on there long compared to the other? the one on longer usually has a lot more votes.... the only reason i have a lot now in the rankings is becaue i go through the list and rank everyone's cars... some of the people that brought me to this site are way below me on the list. doesn't mean their cars are worse or anything....

maybe some sort of revoting thing.... say, first 11 voters, majority wins? or any odd number but 1 will work....

You can only be nominated for best v6 in a certain class... ie. best v6 94-98 best v6 99-04.... Your class "05" doesnt have enough people in it.... I can see where you could be confused though.

I know I'm just a "newbee" (and an ol' Fart to boot); however, I'd like to have a crack at Best Engine eventhough it's only a 289 and maybe go for Best Vert as well, but the way it is set up unless I had a 1979 or later I can't compete? Why not let us old folks (or those who drive old 'Stangs at least) go up against the later models? So, maybe we get our wrinkled ol' butts kicked, but at least we'd be eligible to try! The easy answer is, "not enough old classics" but why can't we go "up" & if we get nominated compete with the 1979+ catagory (then someone will say "too many cars")?!
