Well what would this forum be without a disgruntled import driver :thumpupn:

Name's Drew. I work in the same office as Computerguy and he referred me over here.

I used to drive a nice 97 GT but due to a few unfortunate tickets, my insurance was an obscene $275/month and things were starting to leak, break and make odd noises (80K miles) so we decided that it was time to retire it.

Fear not though. I'll own another stang after a few years. The tickets have to drop off my insurance and by then I'll also be 25 so the ins should be lower anyways. For now though, I've got a hot little import called the RSX-S. It's an 05 with 210hp a 6 speed and a killer suspension. Taking curves = :D

Here's a few pics of the ride and a couple of the old hottness :inlove:

The stang had too many mods to list. Full street suspension, 00 PI intake, full Bassani exhaust and 4.10's. Ran a best of 13.7 @102. I'll miss it for now but at least I've got something that's still good looking (I think) handles superbly and has a decent amount of power. Most guys are running mid to high 14's stock in the 05 type S's and 13's with a few bolt on's so we'll see what happens.

So ya think the RSX-S will prevent tickets? I think it's got something to do with the right foot being pressed too far down on the accelerator. Just a guess.

I had an offroad bassani X pipe and flowmaster catback, it's red and it's a mustang. I've had cops follow me all the time for no reason other than the fact that that's what I was driving. I've been on the highway and had state troopers and cops follow right behind me while other cars are passing us in other lanes.

One cop even admitted that the only reason he picked ME out of a group of cars that were all speeding was because I was the one in the red sports car. If that's not BS, I don't know what is. Yeah, I was speeding. Guilty. But the fact that he told me that he pulled me over because of my car?!? :bs:

My first and only "comitted" ticket was driving a '90 Escort stationwagon (hahaha)...

Welcome to the site!

I respect the RSX-S, but I am a Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Porsche kind'a guy...

Either way, gotta love high-revving engines. ;)

8 grand baby :D Common sense and my ears tell me to shift at 5500~6000 but the power is just kicking in around then. Same as driving my friends S2K. It just doesn't feel natural shifting at 8 or 9 K rpm's but when the car's still pulling like crazy, why stop?

yeah there was some punk that got one in Auburn that didn't know how to drive and he was talking smack. That's when my then 15.2 1/4 mile beast of a GT smoked him at the track.
