So I put some wax on my car. Before i got to the area around the gas door to buff it off, I had to run my daughter to the hospital. So fast forward a few days and I remember that I did not take off that wax. It took me a while to remember, it is not my daily driver. So now I can't get it off. I have tried washing it again, no avail. Should I try to rewax it. Or should I get some different wax, like cleaner wax. I thought about trying goo be gone, but don't what that will hurt my paint. Any good ideas? Any products I should try?

What about some bug and tar remover? It works wonders on that rubber behind my wheel well.

Everyone recommends washing with Dawn dishwashing liquid before claybarring -- to remove the wax.
You might try that.
