I am turning my 90 LX in to a weekend drag car and I am thinking about puttign a 460 under the hood. Any one know a good site with some info on doing a 460 swap or have any info about doing this. Any pros and cons to this swap are welcome. :beerchug:

I have a 429 in my 88, there is a kit available that includes , headers, mounts, oil pan, tranny mount and drive shaft.

when I originally did this back in 88 there was no such kit, man that made everything go alot slower

here is a old pic of when things were getting dry fit, there is alot of room.

Thanks for the post. What tranny do you run with ? C6 is what I have been told to use since the car will only be used on the track but I was thinking about a 4 speed just to be diff and casue I love to bang gears. Nother question is the 8.8 rear going to hold or will i need to put a nine in out back?

Yes its a C6, I dont know if the 8.8 will hold, I got the 9 cut and shortened, everything was what came out of the torino.

I have a 429 CJ that I've been tossing the idea around about dropping in to my '84 hatch. What mods have you made to your 429 and what kind of numbers you been running?
