I am puting slicks on my car for some track use and have a question or to about the size of tire I can run. I have 15X7 inch rims that I am puting the slicks on. Can I fit a 10 inch slick on that rim or will I need to go down to a 9 or even an 8 inch tire. Next question if I am runnign a 10 inch tire will I need to remove the quad shocks. Its been a long time since I have been in the drag world and I rember people used to take off the quads to fit a bigger tire.
I have a 90 fox LX so there is not a lot of room back there for big tires as it is I just want the biggest I can fit with out cutting anyhting.

Thanks for the help.

Ditch the quads, they are probably shot and not doing anything anyway, mine were. Your car will wheel hop or not, fox bodies are like that, no reason why, mine never noticed the quads were gone.

I tryed to dump the quads. Nasty nasty tires felt like there were bouncing a foot off the ground. I put the quads back on. there new KYBs any how.
