Hey guys I'm still new to the site and was wondering how long the JFO last. I noticed that all the JFO's currently are all awaiting one judge and go back as far as 4 days. I'm thinking something should be done to make them a little quicker being that as we are waiting for one judge for a couple of days and I make changes to my site that could have changed another judges decission it probably wont get seen cause they already ruled. And I do understand that when theyre judged there judged but if I read the remarks for the decission and it says to add more whatever and I already did it may look a little skewed. Just venting it's 3 in the morning.

Judges are supposed to turn off judging if they are going away.. it doesnt look like this judge did that...

What would you suggest happen at this point?

I would suggest assigning the final vote to another judge this way the other judges that took the time dont feel ignored and myself and 88 foxbody can have a final JFO if not If one or the other won both votes from the two judges that voted award them the win and if they are split and no other judge can be assigned the final vote just call it square and we will always do another JFO later but the problem is it looks like the judge that is not voting is holding up about 6 JFO's

That sounds like a fair decision... Do it J.

You just can't assign a JFO to another judge unless they have their JFO Judging turned on .. I have had mine off for a couple of weeks because as the president of our local car club I have been extremely busy putting together events for this year and just have not had the time it takes to look at sites .. I believe that 2 days is enough to allow everone to wager .. this has been a problem for a long time and I don't think there is a solution to it or at least none that I can think of other then getting more judges .. If you feel that you have the knowledge and time give J a shout

J it seems you have a judge missing again over a week for one JFO thats crazy I hate to say but people are gonna stop participating. Is it possible to set up the Face-Offs so if the go over three days you can have a backup already assigned. So assign to three judges and 1 fillin and use three days as the point where the one judge comes off the bench. Just a thought of making things smoother.

that sounds like a good idea to me

four to five days should be fine. Sometimes you may want peeps to have time to vote and the judges may not be able to get on all the time to do them.

If it goes over a week then it's time to maybe reassign the JFO or have it automatically cancel/delete.

i like the get a back up judge idea more than it just going away, maybe before J signs up a new judge for the face off he could see if it is a tie or not between the 2 judgs that have already voted.

Seems this came up two years ago and 6 days was an issue now we are at six weeks of waiting for one judge. I hate to say it but the JFO are just not gonna be used anymore after this.

It's sad that this is happening. I have canvesed the membership many times looking for people and passed them on to J to make his decision as to whether or not they should be a judge only to find out that they judged a few times and never again. Mine have been off for a month or so only because I haven't had the time do to helping mom remodel her house. I'm lucky if I get 10 minutes a week to even look at the site at this point. Hopefully in two weeks that project should end and I'll be back more often. If anyone has the time and a good knowledge of all the models of Stangs then give J a shout and let him know that you are interested. J is busy like the rest of us so you may have to hit him up a few times for an answer but he will answer.

Man this is a shame that the judges are taking so long. I always liked when the judging was done within 48 hours. I hope it speeds back up.
