While I was pulling my spark plugs out to remove my headers I found oil on a couple of them (the front two on the driver side, #5 & 6?). Is this a valve problem or rings? And is this a serious problem or something that is an easy fix? The engine has 138+K on it so I expect some problems, I guess the nitrous is not going on anytime soon if at all now.

Either no one can help or most have stopped reading the forum thanks to the blogs. You might want to move your question to the blog area.

Dude. Nitrous wont hurt it anymore than it is. Do you have oil in your intake ? Pull the tube off your TB and see if oil is standing in there. Does your car smoke or anything.

No smoke that I can tell and the oil is only on those two plugs, the other side is fine. I'll check the intake tube later.

does tht plug fire? Pull it and crank it with someone watching and see if it sparks. Could be an ingnition problem as well

It sounds like rings to me too, if it was valves you most likely get smoke on start up and during some driving if it was worn valve guides and bad seals, do a compression check on the cylinders and see what they compare to the rest, thisshould give you an idea in which direction to head, and i agree with yosemiddysam, it could be an ignition problem and the fuel isnt gettin burned and washing down the cylinder walls, if you had a couple of pics of the plugs i could help further

I would take a couple of pics, but I have misplaced my camera somewhere. I think I wiped them off anyway. I just replaced the cap and rotor and while taking off some of the wires I realized some of them were not fully seated on the plugs.

Shut up Mark. lol Started to install the BBK long tubes and saw the motor mounts are shot, so I ordered some polyurethane ones. What started as a simple swap of swapping out the off road h pipe for the legal catted one for inspection turned into getting long tubes and upgraded motor mounts.
